My Little Venture
Inspired by childhood memories, nostalgia for Paris and new experiences in London, My Little Venture’s hand painted designs are developed to produce whimsical wallpapers, fabrics and accessories that will delight both ‘petits et grands’.
My Little Venture was launched in 2013 by French illustrator, wallpaper and textile designer, Venture de Saboulin. Following five years of training in art and interior and textile design, Venture left Paris for London in 2008, where she worked for Bonpoint and de Gournay before beginning her own little adventure.
Creation, design and production process
Using her favourite aquarelle medium, Venture draws and paints each element of each design by hand before using the latest computer technology to create the repeat for the final design.
In order to preserve the detail and colours of the original hand painted design, the completed design is then digitally printed onto wallpaper or fabric. Using a single supplier in the UK for all its wallpapers and fabrics in order to ensure consistency of quality across its entire collection, My Little Venture allows parents to combine selected products from across its range to complete their perfect nursery.
For its accessories collection, My Little Venture uses a Social Enterprise based in London to handcraft its cushions and baby towels.
